Hi,

I am trying to create a project and everything works fine until I insert some pictures and then try to click "apply".

The following error pops up:

The field 'ProjectItemPhotos.ppPhotoID' cannot contain a Null value because the required property for this field is set to True. Enter a value in this field.

he project saves fine until I insert photos. The photos are .jpgs.

Any ideas?

Hi Jasmine,

Firstly, what version of PLP have you got installed?  You can determine this by going to Help > About Prep Learning Profile.

Does the error occur when you attach photos to any project, or just a particular project?  Is it any comment within the project, or just a particular comment?  Does the error occur while trying to attach photos to student observations?

Also, have you recently done an upgrade?

David,

The version I am using is 2.0.7.

This error comes up when I try to attach photos to any project and also does it when I try to attach them to student observations.

I have tried attaching other photos from other devices and locations without success.

Hi Jasmine,

The issue you have relates to version 2.0.8 or higher of the database.  The fact that you are running version 2.0.7 is the problem.  Somehow you have managed to get a copy of a 2.0.8 database and put it on your 2.0.7 version.

I am suspecting that your school may have upgraded to the latest version without telling you, and when you have taken data from your school system it is not the same version (although depending on how you did this, you should have received an error message when doing it).

It is probably easiest if I can speak to you about this.  Can you please send an email to prep@jdmpartners.com.au with a phone number and best time to give you a call?
