JDM Partners has been a leading Information Technology company on the Darling Downs since 2003. Having experienced significant growth we are seeking a Network Support Engineer to join our services team. As a Network Support Engineer, your key responsibilities may include the following:
· Administration, support and maintenance of operations, monitoring and installation of infrastructure machines that includes but is not limited to SQL databases and Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008
· Manage & complete work within SLAs via service requests issued through the call tracking systems, including large contracts with national service providers supporting up to 500 clients annually
· Daily administration (Backup Tape Change/Set, DB Maintenance, Disk Space Daily server checks, Trouble-shooting, Operation for Request, etc.) related all infrastructure machines to keep target availability
· Working as a part of a support team towards a smooth implementation/transition for all new products and services or relocation of existing businesses
· Strong verbal and written communication with customers about application related administration and operations issues
· Performing company specific server software / hardware builds
· Undertaking first level hardware troubleshooting as required and building hardware to custom specifications as required
· Supporting large national companies through Managing hardware vendors as necessary to ensure required server availability
· Assisting in updating and roll-out of maintenance procedures, standards and guidelines
· On-Call/Trouble-shooting support (participate in the on-call roster for 7*24 support as necessary)
To be successful you must have the following:
· Bachelors degree in a related field or Windows certification including MSCE or MCP certification (desirable)
· Experience with MS/SQL, Windows Server, Windows PC Operating Systems and Computer hardware familiarity
· Prior work experience of 2 to 5 years (desirable)
· A drivers licence class C
· prepared to obtain a police clearance
· Blue card (desirable)
You will have exposure to a wide range of clients in various industries such as banks, schools, retail outlets and supermarkets covering a large part of SE Qld including Kingaroy, Dalby, Goondiwindi and Stanthorpe. We also support a number of ASX listed companies, small, and medium size businesses throughout the Darling Downs.
